Examining and diving deep into key fundamental questions that on the surface may seem easy to answer but are actually complex and nuanced.
- How do define yoga?
- Where does yoga draw its teachings from?
- Yoga in the 20th and 21st century?
- What does yoga mean to us in the 21st century?
- Is yoga a static practice or does it evolve with us?
In this module, we will explore all this and more. We will "stretch" your understanding of yoga and its teaching in a way that will provide value and relevance to you as a teacher in the 21st century!!!
Sequencing is an inherent part of creating vinyasa classes, when you start out as a teacher, usually you follow a template or sorts or a standard format and that's OK but this training is designed to give you the tools beyond the basics! Creating a sequencing is very similar to creating a story or an experience, it has waves, iterations, and nuance and can be designed to give the practitioner a unique experience that cannot be found in other classes. Pair that with efficient cueing, and music and you have the makings of a great yoga class.
In this module, we will explore:
- Sequencing ins different lineages
- Vinyasa basics
- Peak pose sequencing
- Sequencing arcs
- Power hour sequencing
- Ritual and Familiarity vs Exploration
- Mandala sequencing
This module is like a tool kit that you can use throughout your teaching. Tools can be used on their own or paired with others. Many layers can be put on one another to provide depth and insight into your vinyasa classes!
