What to Expect
A weekend of focused work on handstands and mobility. Whether you’re brand new to going upside down or you’ve been training for years, this workshop meets you where you are and pushes you forward. Throughout the weekend, you’ll learn the concepts and principles behind the work, so you understand the why behind every drill and can keep training with intention long after the workshop ends.
Handstand Foundations
We start with the fundamentals: wrist and shoulder prep, alignment, entry techniques, and what it actually means to balance. If you’ve been kicking up without a clear plan, this is where that changes. You’ll leave with a real understanding of what your body needs to do in order to hold a handstand.
Shapes & Transitions
Once the foundation is in place, we build on it. Straight, straddle, tuck, stag and how to move between them with control and intention. Transitions are where balance gets tested honestly, so we’ll spend real time here. For those further along, we’ll also touch on the first steps toward one-arm work.
Press & Compress
We’ll break down the mechanics of pressing: where the weight shifts, what the shoulders do, the articulation of the spine, how the legs lift. Depending on where you’re at, we’ll work on straddle, pike, or stalder variations.
Mobility
A dedicated block on opening up the positions that matter: pancake, middle & front splits as well as backbends. I’ll walk you through different stretching approaches and why each one works, passive, active, loaded, and we’ll pair them with the strength work that makes new range usable. The goal is range you can actually access and control.
This workshop is open to all levels. Come curious, come ready to work and expect to leave with a clearer sense of what to train and why.
About SELINE
Teaching has always been a calling for Seline. Her background was initially in physical group fitness classes and yoga. She was a Les Mills Trainer and has been teaching nearly 20 Yoga Teacher Trainings in Bali, Thailand & Australia, certifying over 300 students reaching across the entire globe.
In 2017 Seline's passion shifted to Movement, Handstands, Strength and Mobility, and since then, she has fully dedicated her personal practice as well as her career to it. She currently teaches classes in movement gyms and runs various workshops in gyms, yoga studios and yoga teacher trainings, as well as offering curated online coaching programmes. Seline has taught people from all walks of life how to handstand and get more flexible. Having learned only as an adult herself, she knows what it takes to be able to confidently go upside down.
With her bubbly and joyful energy you can expect a fun, yet intense workshop filled with drills and theory sessions that will improve your practice and immerse you into the world of handstands & mobility.
